In 2008 we decided to enter a new venture at Hidden Meadow Farm. Finding carriages that we could show our ponies with was a difficult task. The more we searched, the more we discovered that there was a great shortage of suitable carriages for the smaller equines. Thus we decided that we would build our own. After a lot of research and the checking out of many designs, we decided to create our own designs. We were very concerned with the balance on the carriages since many of the carriages we looked at were very heavy and placed a great deal of weight on the pony's back.
The first carriage that we built was for our 13.3 1/2 hand stallion "Greystone's Adirondack A'Herne", pictured to the left. We had always showed him in a Road Cart but felt it was time to move him up to a slightly more formal vehicle. Thus, our version of the "COUNTRY GIG" was created.

Over the past two years we purchased 3 new ponies from Foxmor Farm in Virginia. This presented a new problem for us since we again had nothing suitable to show them in. All of our other carriages were much to large for a 12 hand pony. Again, we went to the drawing board and came up with design for a smaller version of our "COUNTRY GIG." Pictured to the left is one of our new ponies, "Foxmor On The Spot", showing for his first time in his new gig.
Over the next few months, we plan on building other pony gigs that we will market and sell in the spring time. As the carriages are completed, we will put them up on our site. Check back often to see what new creations we have come up with.
